Google cancels its augmented reality glasses project: Report

Google has cancelled its plan to build augmented reality (AR) glasses which was internally named 'Project Iris', Business Insider reported. Project Iris was reportedly affected by a number of layoffs and 'constantly shifting strategies' during the development phase, the report added. Google is now said to be working on building software that it can license to other headset manufacturers.
