Google CEO Sundar Pichai's pay rises to ₹1,854 crore in 2022

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google's parent company Alphabet, was awarded a total pay package of $226 million (₹1,854 crore) in 2022. As per the company's regulatory filings, Pichai received stock awards amounting to $218 million. Comparatively, the 50-year-old received a total compensation of $6.3 million in the previous year. Google had announced plans to cut 12,000 jobs in January.
