Google delays its most powerful model's launch as it misses own goals: Report

Google has delayed the launch of Gemini 3.5 Pro after the tech giant's flagship AI model failed to meet internal performance goals, particularly in coding, Bloomberg News reported. CEO Sundar Pichai had said in May that the model would launch in June. The delay has raised concerns among some Google engineers as OpenAI and Anthropic release stronger competing models.
