Google denies claims of warning 2.5 bn Gmail users to reset passwords
Google has denied recent reports that it warned 2.5 billion Gmail users to reset their passwords over a surge in "successful intrusions" via phishing and impersonation attacks. It called the reports “entirely false,” and said its systems can block over 99.9% of phishing/malware attempts before they reach users. Google urged users to adopt Passkeys to further strengthen account security.
