Google develops frozen chip to make Gemini models faster: Report

Google's parent Alphabet is developing a new server chip, internally known as Frozen v2, to make Gemini models more efficient, The Information reported. The chip will reduce the computing power needed to answer user queries and is expected to be six to 10 times more efficient than Google's current Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). It's expected to launch in 2028.
