Google Drive desktop to stop Google Photos backups on August 10

Google Drive for desktop will stop supporting Google Photos backups after August 10, 2026. Users must add photos and videos from Google Drive to Google Photos to continue backing up folders after this date. Previously configured folders in Drive for desktop must be selected again in Google Photos to ensure future photos and videos continue uploading automatically.
