Google fined $37 million for breaking Turkey's competition law

Turkey has fined Google 296 million lira (about $37 million) for violating the country's competition law and abusing its dominant position in the search engine services area. Google complicated search results by prominently placing text ads at the top of general search results, Turkey's Competition Authority said. Within 6 months, Google must ensure that competitors aren't disadvantaged, it added.
