Google launches SynthID site to detect AI-generated media

Google has made SynthID, its AI-detection tool, publicly available at synthid.com. It detects AI-generated images, videos, and audio by identifying watermarks. Previously limited to journalists and researchers, it now handles one million daily verification requests. The tool is integrated into Gemini and Chrome, though it has limitations with non-Google watermarking standards.
