Google launching spam protection for Messages: Reports

Google has reportedly begun rolling out its spam protection feature for Messages app, after over six months of developing it for Android operating system. The change appears to be server-side and in a limited rollout for the time being, with users being prompted with the message, "New! Spam protection", reports said. Further, the feature can be disabled under 'Advanced' menu.
