Google Maps shows 'underwater island' in Arabian Sea near Kochi; to be probed

A bean-shaped 'underwater island' in the Arabian Sea near Kerala's Kochi is visible on Google Maps' satellite imagery. Experts assume it to be an underwater structure and officials of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) plan to investigate it. "We don't know what it's made of...whether it's sand or clay and whether it's distributed regularly," KUFOS VC said.
