Google may allow sharing battery status while using Maps

Google is reportedly planning an update which will allow its users to share battery life status along with location while using the Maps app. It would also offer feature to share transit trips with others, including the exact arrival time at a given stop. However, the company has made no comment regarding when it plans to roll out the feature.
