Google offers voluntary buyouts to employees in several countries

Google started offering voluntary buyout packages in June to some employees in Canada, France, Germany, Japan and Switzerland, Reuters reported. The move comes as the tech giant seeks to cut costs amid massive AI spending. Last week, Microsoft announced exit offers for around 60,000 employees, equivalent to over 25% of its workforce.
