Google Pay user loses ₹2.7 lakh to fake customer care execs

A Mangalore-based Google Pay customer on Tuesday filed a complaint with the cyber crime police after allegedly being cheated of ₹2.7 lakh by imposters posing as customer care executives. Trying to get refund for a failed transaction, the 29-year-old dialled an incorrect number for customer service by looking on the internet and revealed his bank account details and a code.
