Google removes 27 apps that guided users to fake Play Store

Google has removed 27 Android apps which misled users and guided them to fake 'Play Store', after being alerted by researchers from Pune-based cybersecurity firm Quick Heal. The fake Play Store remained in the device even after its source app was uninstalled, researchers revealed. It kept on displaying full-screen ads at random time intervals, they added.
