Google removes apps from Play Store for performing ad fraud: Report

Google has removed 16 apps from Play Store which were performing ad fraud as they were impersonating a real user by clicking on ads and redirecting to web pages in the background, a security firm alleged. These apps were also causing faster battery drain and high data usage on Android devices. They had 20 million downloads before they were removed.
