Google removes egg from salad emoji to promote diversity

Google's emoji UX Manager, Jennifer Daniel has said the company has removed the egg from the salad emoji in Android P beta 2 to make it "a more inclusive vegan salad." However, she later explained the updated emoji corresponds more accurately with its original description; "A bowl of healthy salad, containing lettuce, tomato, and other salad items such as cucumber."
