Google removes option to book Uber rides through Maps app

Technology giant Google has removed the option to allow users to book Uber rides directly through the company's Maps app. However, users can look up their route in the Maps app and then get redirected to book the ride from the Uber app. Launched in January last year, the feature has been pulled from both Android and iOS platforms.
