Google retires 'dark web report' feature for not being helpful

Google announced it will discontinue the "dark web report", which was meant to scan the dark web for a possible leak of user's personal information, two years after offering it for free. "While…report offered general information, feedback showed that it didn't provide helpful next steps," Google said. The dark web report will no longer be available after February 16, 2026.
