Google shows how quantum computers may break Bitcoin encryption in minutes

Google has published a white paper estimating that future quantum computers may need around 20 times fewer resources to break the encryption used by Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It outlined two quantum circuits that could run on advanced machines within minutes to carry out such attacks. However, the company limited technical details due to security concerns.
