Google shuts AI agent that could complete tasks on browsers: Report

Google has shut down "Project Mariner", its experimental research project to build a web-browsing AI agent, which was announced at its developer conference, Wired reported. The project's landing page now says it was shut down on May 4, and its technology migrated to other Google products. The project could navigate the Chrome browser and complete tasks on users' behalf.
