Google shuts down social media platform Google+ 8 yrs after launch

Google on Tuesday officially shut down its social media platform Google+ launched in 2011 to rival with other social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Google decided to close the site after discovering a data breach in 2018. As of Tuesday, there will be no more Google+ sign-in buttons, pages or comments, and the users' accounts will be deleted.
