Google teams up with Palmeiras to deploy AI that predicts play dynamics 8 seconds in advance

Google has built an AI tool called TacticAI, a system that can predict open play dynamics up to 8 seconds in advance. The firm is teaming up with Brazilian football club Palmeiras to test and deploy the system for the club's training sessions. The tool can analyse and map the pitch through graph neural networks, treating players as individual nodes.
