Google to let people insert themselves in AI videos using 'Avatars'

Google is now letting users insert themselves in AI videos using "Avatars". Users can create videos with their own voice while Avatars create a digital version of them, which can be used to generate videos that look and sound like the users. Google Labs VP Elias Roman scanned his likeness and inserted himself into an AI-generated videoclip during I/O 2026.
