Google to pay ₹9 cr to Ulku Rowe, who claimed males were paid more

A US court ordered Google to pay over ₹9 crore to Google Cloud (CTO Office) Engineering Director Ulku Rowe, who claimed that less-experienced male executives hired for similar roles at the same time were paid more. Rowe also alleged that Google denied her promotions following her complaints. She had 23 years of experience when she started at Google in 2017.
