Google to shut down its URL shortening service 'goo.gl'

Google has announced that it will be shutting down its URL shortening service 'goo.gl'. The company said new and anonymous users won't be able to create links through the service from April 13 but it'll be available for existing users for another year. The URL shortener was launched in 2009 for users to share links and measure traffic online.
