Google to stop using web tracking tools after phasing out cookies

Google on Wednesday said that it will not build or use alternate tools to track users' web browsing after it phases out cookies from Chrome. It will instead use privacy-preserving technologies that rely on methods like anonymisation or aggregation of data. Last year, Google announced that it'd end support for third-party cookies, used to target online ads, within two years.
