Google unveils AI model to help robots navigate real-world tasks

Google DeepMind introduced Gemini Robotics-ER 1.6, a major upgrade to its reasoning-first model that enables robots to understand their environments with unprecedented precision. The model can help robots to precisely identify objects and recognise physical constraints, like avoiding liquids or items over 20 kilograms, when following instructions. It is efficient at detecting human injury risks.
