Google unveils new AI glasses more than 10 years after flopped Google Glass

During I/O 2026 event, Google showcased two new pairs of Gemini AI-powered smart glasses. The company said it will soon launch "audio glasses" that provide spoken assistance, along with "display glasses" that show information directly on the lens. With the move, Google is set to re-enter the smart glasses market more than a decade after the failure of Google Glass.
