Google VP warns two AI startup types may not survive

Darren Mowry, Vice President at Google Global Startups, has warned that two kinds of AI startups could struggle to survive: thin LLM "wrappers" that depend heavily on existing models, and AI aggregators that mainly bundle multiple models together. He said startups must build real differentiation and deeper intellectual property to remain competitive.
