Google warns iPhone users of DarkSword spyware risk

Google has urged iPhone users to update their devices immediately after cybersecurity researchers from Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) flagged a spyware threat, DarkSword. The discovery showed malware leveraging multiple zero-day vulnerabilities to gain full device access on vulnerable iPhones since at least November 2025. Specifically, it targets iPhones running iOS versions 18.4 to 18.7.
