Google's Fitbit acquisition could pose 'high risk' to privacy: EDPB

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has said Google's acquisition of Fitbit "could entail a high level of risk to privacy and data protection". The EDPB said both Google and Fitbit should conduct a "full assessment of the data protection requirements and privacy implications". It added that both should also mitigate any privacy risks before notifying merger to European Commission.
