Government approves another 25 lakh tonnes of wheat exports

Government of India approved export of an additional 25 LMT wheat, taking total exports to 50 LMT wheat and 10 LMT wheat products in 2026. The move, based on strong production (1,202 LMT) and higher stocks, aims to support farmers, stabilise prices, ensure market liquidity, and maintain food security through calibrated trade policy.
