Govt allocates ₹10,000 cr to stabilise airfares across India

The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹10,000 crore Aviation Turbine Fuel price stabilisation package to support Indian airlines amid fuel price volatility caused by the West Asia crisis. The measure aims to reduce uncertainty in airline operating costs, prevent sharp airfare increases, and ensure uninterrupted air services. The support mechanism will operate for up to 36 months.
