Govt allows Chinese firms in PLI with JV, tech transfer clauses

The Indian government now permits Chinese firms to access PLI under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme, with strict conditions. Chinese companies must form joint ventures with Indian partners holding majority ownership and full control. Tech transfer is mandatory. With ₹22,919 crore allocated, the scheme aims to boost domestic electronics manufacturing, attract ₹59,000 cr investment.
