The government allows 99,150 metric tonnes of onion export to six countries, ensuring domestic availability and price stability due to lower crop output. The National Cooperative Exports Limited sources onions at L1 prices through an e-platform, supplying to government-nominated agencies in destination countries on a 100% advance payment basis, as stated by the Food Ministry.
