Govt allows up to 1,000 MT of Kala Namak rice export, waives duty

The government has allowed exports of up to 1,000 metric tonne (MT) of Kala Namak rice through six customs stations. Additionally, the 20% duty on overseas shipments of Kala Namak rice has been removed for export quantities of up to 1,000 MT. In July last year, the government imposed a ban on the export of non-basmati white rice.
