Govt announces new process for PPP projects and asset monetisation

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a new streamlined process for appraisal and approval of public-private partnership (PPP) projects and monetisation of infrastructure assets. The new policy will include InvITs. "The aim is to ensure speedy clearance of projects to facilitate the private sector's efficiencies in financing the construction and management of infrastructure," she said.
