Govt announces support for coconut, cocoa, sandalwood & other high-value crops

Government proposed dedicated programmes to support high-value crops like coconut, cashew, pine nut and sandalwood. She announced a coconut promotion scheme to boost production through multiple interventions. She said Indian cashew and cocoa will be transformed into premium global brands by 2030. She further announced Centre-State partnership to "restore glory of the Indian Sandalwood ecosystem."
