Govt announces that it won't revoke E20 mandate, calls E0 & E10 'inferior'

The Petroleum Ministry told the Parliament that it will not revoke its mandate to sell E20 petrol across India, even as commuters raise concerns over its effect on their vehicles. "The objective of the public policy is to move forward with a superior fuel, not return to an inferior standard," the ministry said. Manufacturers continue honouring vehicle warranties, it added.
