Govt approved ₹4,687 crore in interest subsidies for ethanol projects since 2018

The government has approved ₹4,687 crore in interest subsidies for ethanol projects since 2018, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply. NABARD, the nodal agency under such schemes, received a total of ₹2,075 crore of subsidy since 2022-23. NABARD received subsidies of ₹600 crore each in 2024-25 and 2025-26.
