Govt-approved cab fares in Pune to start May 1, rates to rise

Starting May 1, cab rides in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Baramati via Uber, Ola, and Rapido will switch to government-approved fare structures. The first 1.5 km will cost ₹37 and ₹25/km thereafter. This revision may significantly raise fares, for instance, a 20 km ride from Wakad to Pune Airport will now cost ₹500, up from ₹370.
