Govt approves ₹7,100 cr investment in electronics manufacturing sector

The Electronics and Information Technology ministry on Monday approved investments worth ₹7,100 crore under the Electronic Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). The ministry has so far approved 75 applications, including a ₹700 crore investment to set up a rare earth magnets facility in Uttar Pradesh. The government has approved projects worth ₹61,671 crore, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
