Govt asks airlines to bring clear policies for flyers travelling with pets

The Civil Aviation Ministry has directed airlines operating in India to bring clear and transparent policies for the carriage of pets on planes. This move is aimed at addressing frequent passenger complaints over inconsistent rules and high surcharges for passengers attempting to travel with their pets. It has also asked airlines to facilitate carriage of sports equipment and musical instruments.
