Govt asks Google to remove ads promoting fake ‘pencil packing’ job

Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre under Home Affairs Ministry asked Google to remove advertiser pages that were allegedly used to promote a fraudulent "pencil-packing" work-from-home scheme. A notice directs Google to disable access to listed URLs within 36 hours of communication. The ads violated provisions of Information Technology Act, 2000 and certain sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
