Govt asks social media firms to act on unlawful content linked to protests

The government has advised social media firms to prioritise action against unlawful content related to the ongoing protests demanding CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. This comes after the Opposition held protests for three consecutive days at Akashvani Bhavan, Jantar Mantar and Rajpath. The Cockroach Janata Party has also proposed holding a protest on October 10 over the CEC row.
