Govt blocks over 3,700 apps to prevent cyber scams

The central government has blocked 3,718 mobile apps till June 30 to prevent cyber scams in the country, Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar informed Lok Sabha. More than 15.75 lakh sim cards and 5.77 lakh IMEIs were also blocked. The government saved over ₹11,158 crore in over 32.80 lakh cyber fraud complaints during the same period.
