Govt cancels 11 critical mineral block auctions amid weak response

The Centre has cancelled the auction of 11 critical mineral blocks, which were put on sale in the sixth round launched in September 2025, due to weak investor response. The Mines Ministry said the auction for five mineral blocks was cancelled as no bids were received. The auction process for West Bengal's Beku Rare Metal Block was also annulled.
