Govt cancels UGC-NET exam day after it was conducted, says 'exam may have been compromised'

The Ministry of Education has cancelled the UGC-NET examination conducted on June 18, 2024. "On June 19, UGC received certain inputs that the integrity of the aforesaid examination may have been compromised," the government said in a release. "A fresh examination shall be conducted, for which information shall be shared separately," the government added.
