Govt caps jet fuel prices at ₹75.6/litre, approves ₹10,000-crore price stabilisation fund

The Centre has capped Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices for domestic operations at ₹75.6/litre. It also approved a ₹10,000-crore ATF Price Stabilisation Fund to control airfares by helping the aviation sector cope with rising global fuel prices. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said jet fuel prices have increased 2.5 times, from ₹60.5/litre in March to ₹142/litre in May.
