Govt clears ₹438cr berth redevelopment at New Mangalore Port

The government has approved a ¢438.29 crore redevelopment of Berth No. 9 at New Mangalore Port under PPP mode. The project will boost liquid bulk cargo capacity to 10.90 MTPA and enable handling of large vessels, including VLGCs. It aims to modernise ageing infrastructure, improve efficiency, reduce logistics costs and strengthen India's maritime and energy supply chain capabilities.
